College Road Primary School

It is amazing how much you can pack into a two day project! College Road Primary School, Plymouth commissioned a piece of art work to be created by myself and the students with the work being inspired by the school’s symbol, a phoenix.

Day 1 involved me teaching each of the classes in order for each pupil to create a feather which could be incorporated into the final phoenix collage. Day 2 focused on me working as an artist in residence to create the phoenix on a large panel in the school art room with classes of students dropping in throughout the day to see how the work was progressing.

This was the last day of the school’s arts week and a big reveal at the end of the day was very well received by the students and all their parents. What a great conclusion to the school’s annual arts week!
